I have been missing in action!
April has handed me my ass on a platter.
2016 has -in no uncertain terms- lost that new car smell.
When all of your new year resolutions go off the rails, it must be April. It must be the IRS tapping your shoulder saying, "It's time. Funs over." That's about the time all that newness wears off. The sparkle of January is gone, the days are nothing special, rituals feel old and one draws the conclusion, why bother going to the gym? The thaw releases a torrent of pollen, at which point it's pretty much over for me. I slow down, am sleepy all day, and instead of brisk spring days, the humidity shoots right up here in the Deep South.
Let's examine the middle Fridays when I was not able to be here on the Studio Blog.
On April 15, I was getting ready for my Open Studio and it was all hands on deck.
I am very grateful for all who came and for Tiffany who puts the hussy in hustle. By no means is my work taking over the world, but we did sell a surprising amount of mail art subscriptions. A good thing!
On April 22, I left for Dallas to visit the Original Wendy. Here we are shopping...and shopping...and shopping some more. I should have gotten some actions shots at one of the two Indian grocery stores we went to. Thanks for hauling my butt all over Plano!
Speaking of the Deep South, right after Dallas, we took a road trip to Alabama, where we stopped at the Rural Studio in Newbern.
