Rosalie Broderick dreams of becoming a stand-up comic but until then is not quite ready to quit her day job as a greeting card artist.
"I try to incorporate my sense of humor into my greeting card illustrations,” Ms. Broderick chuckles.
Although on the young side, her specialty niche is the ever popular ‘over the hill’ birthday card.
"Something about changing the front number really freaks people out and friends tend to rub it in," she says.
Ms. Broderick does not own a car. She is a passionate advocate of public transportation in any form it takes.
“I don’t even have my driver’s license,” she proudly exclaims.
Would it shock you to learn that Ms Broderick doesn’t know how to ride a bike either?
"I schlepp," she jokes, "Like a bag lady. I have one of those collapsible carts, too."
She's a regular at open mic nights at the Tarnish Tack Bar. Monday and Thursday 9P if you want to catch her act.
