Jolly and light on her feet are the first words that come to mind when describing Mrs. Wrun, who at any given moment can offer a dissertation on the benefits of bingo night versus ice cream socials.
"Life is too darn short to be bored. So my team? We get real creative," she says.
Mrs. Wrun claims to be the first person to invite friendly animals into a home for the elderly.
"And by 'friendly animals' I mean guinea pigs to parrots. We don't discriminate," asserts Mrs. Wrun.
She also takes credit for the first ever Senior Citizens Spelling Bee.
"We are about to celebrate our 7th year of the Senior Bee," Mrs. Wrun reports of this state phenomenon.
"Pretty soon I will be joining the people I serve," she sighs, staring off into the middle distance.
But before that day comes, Mrs. Wrun likes to stay busy. She just signed up for a Zumba class and recently bought a treadmill.
